Service to others before serving ourselves has always been the way our family interacts with our community.

Challenge League – Little League of America – Vienna Little League Chapter

Volunteered every Sunday teaching mentally and physically handicapped kids how to play baseball

First Presbyterian’s Project Backyard and SPARK organizations serving underserved communities within Thomasville, Ga.

Project Backyard – providing opportunities to serve in our own backyard

Ongoing service participation such as with Back-to-School Supplies Giveaway, landscaping for our local homeless shelter, and Thanksgiving Kitchen Meal Preparations

SPARK – supporting small business owners

Ongoing service participation such as painting a Beauty Salon.

Trunk or Treat – Halloween candy distribution to at-risk children

First Presbyterian Weekly Youth Group Participation – Wednesdays at 5:30pm

Writing weekly devotions to be shared and discussed amongst the group

Hands On Thomas County – connecting the community through volunteer service in Thomasville, Ga.

Ongoing service participation such as food distribution at Harper Elementary School.

Young Life Christian Youth Group – Mondays at 7:47pm

911 Memorial Fund- Ran alongside first responders each year raising money for victims and their families of 911

It was a blessing to serve alongside family and friends giving away 120 backpacks, providing hamburgers and hotdogs, and playing games with the whole Villa community at Project Backyard’s 2023 Back to School Supplies Giveaway
